Softball Sweeps Coffeyville Behind Marissa Harrison's Walk-Off Home Run

The Larks hosted Coffeyville CC yesterday afternoon for their fifth and sixth games of the week and second DH in back to back day and were able to still come away with a DH sweep.  They won game 8-6 and game two 7-4, with these wins the Larks hold an overall season record of (14-10, 6-6).  


Game One

The Larks were able to come away with a huge win in game one behind a walk-off home run from Marissa Harrison in the bottom of the eigth inning giving them the 8-6 victory.  Marissa Harrison went 2-4 with a double, home run and finished with 3 RBI.  Kimberlin Hopson continued to have a big week as she finished with a triple and 2 RBI, Alexis Silvey also finished with a triple in this game.  Natalie Fischer got the start in the circle for the Larks and went 7 2/3 innings while giving up 4 earned runs and came away with her fourth victory of the season.  


Game Two

In game two Hesston continued their hot hitting as they finished with 11 hits and came away with the 7-4 victory.  Alexis Silvey went 3-4 and scored 3 of the Larks 7 runs in the game.  Marissa Harrison had another great game as she finished with a double and drove 2 more runs in.  Kimberlin Hopson also finished the game with 2 RBI, which brings her season total up to 39 RBI.  Teri Stanton got the start in the circle and would throw a complete game giving up just 4 runs and striking out 3 as she records her 7th win of the season.



The Larks will be back in action for a conference DH on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 PM as they face off with Cloud County CC.
