Game 1 Hesston, KS
From first pitch the Larks were dominant with pitching and defense. Teri Stanton pitched a 14 strike out NO HITTER (5 inning run rule) on Sunday afternoon. The offense was able to back her incredible performance up with nine runs on eleven hits. This included a home run from sophomore Candace Durney and a triple from freshmen Sammy Fatka. Sammy had five runs batted in on the day on two hits and was the lead off hitter the Larks needed to get their offense in a groove for their first win of the season.Ā Ā

Durney hit a solo shot home run in the 5th inning to put away the Storm for good. Her first home run of the season.Ā Ā Ā

The Southeast Storm lacked opportunities to score with a total of three baserunners the entire game.Ā 



Game 2 Hesston, KS
Hesston College fought back after falling down by six runs in the fifth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 7-6 defeat to Southeast Community College on Sunday afternoon.

In the first inning, Southeast got their offense started with a two run homer from Dorn. The Storm scored four runs in the fifth inning.Ā  Hawkins, Pruitt, and Edson all drove in runs in the frame. The Larks were able to scratch back into it with five runs on a walk by Candace Durney, a double by Madison Rosales, and a double by Madyson McCage.Ā 

Durney, Rosales, and McCage all moved runners across the plate with RBI's in the inning

McCage led the Larks with three hits
