OVERLAND PARK, Kan, - The Hesston College men's soccer team secured a 3-2 victory against Kansas Christian College on Wednesday (October 16).
Tyler Beckford wasted no time, igniting the match with a goal just five minutes into the game. Kansas Christian fought back and leveled the score right before halftime, keeping the tension high.
The second half belonged to Hesston, with Luis Hernandez breaking the deadlock in the 47th minute, thanks to a perfectly timed assist from Alex Radu. Just two minutes later, Yura Yamazaki added another to the scoreboard with a brilliant strike, set up by Kenji Taira, giving Hesston a comfortable lead.
Kansas Christian wasn't done yet, pulling one back with a penalty in the 87th minute, but it wasn't enough to derail Hesston's charge.
