HESSTON, Kan. — Three standout former Larks will join the Hesston College Athletics Hall of Fame as members of its fourth induction class during Homecoming weekend, Sept. 25 to 27. The 2026 class features Fred Driver '73, Rachel (Stuckey) '99 Showalter and Ian Zuercher '84, each of whom left a lasting mark on Hesston athletics through record-setting performances and national recognition.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet the inductees Friday evening in the Yost Center lobby following the volleyball match, at approximately 8 p.m. The official Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Hesston Mennonite Church sanctuary.

Fred Driver '73
Driver was one of the most impactful men's soccer players in Hesston history. In the two-year athletic era, Driver holds the record for career assists (32), ranks second in career points (118) and fifth in career goals (43). In his freshman season, Driver led the Larks with 25 goals and 16 assists, earning NJCAA second-team All-American honors. He also earned recognition at the conference and regional levels, being named a two-time first-team all-conference selection in the Prairie Junior College Conference (PJCC) as well as earning all-region VI honors twice. In his career, Driver helped the Larks to a 21-4 overall record, including a 15-0 record in conference play.

Rachel (Stuckey) '99 Showalter
A recruit from Hesston High School, Showalter was a two-time NJCAA first-team All-American and an integral part of the 1997 volleyball team's run at the national tournament which ended in a runner-up finish. In her career, Stuckey helped the Larks to a 49-45 overall record while recording 420 kills, a 33.6% kill percentage, 66 solo blocks, 97 block assists and 451 digs. Stuckey earned all-region VI honors and was named to the NJCAA all-tournament team in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Ian Zuercher '84
One of the best defensive players in Hesston men's soccer history, Zuercher was named an NJCAA second-team All-American in his freshman season. Zuercher racked up 771 interceptions and 125 tackles in his career for a total of 896 defensive points, the second-most in program history. He also made sizable contributions on the offensive side of the ball compiling 10 goals and 18 assists as he helped the Larks to a 28-6-1 overall record in his career. On top of his All-America honors, Zuercher was a two-time all-region VI honoree.
