  • Title
    Head Women's Flag Football Coach

Patrick Watson III was named the head women’s flag football coach at Hesston College in April 2025 after acting as the interim head coach for the 2025 season.

A native of Houston, Texas, Watson played football for four years at Tabor College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a strength and conditioning focus as well as biblical and theological studies. He later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Wichita State University.

Watson spent some time coaching at Newton High School and also coached for a women’s football league team, the Wichita Tribe.

Pat lives with his wife and daughter in Newton, and he claims that the idea of family has a major influence on his coaching style.

“Family is everything to me,” said Watson. “And that sense of family? It doesn’t stop at my front door. It extends to every player I coach. I don’t just see athletes. I see daughters, warriors, and dreamers. I’m not in this just to draw up plays. I’m here to pour, to speak life, to build discipline and belief in young people who need more than just a whistle and a clipboard.”
