Bryan Kehr

Bryan Kehr has served as the athletic director at Hesston College since January 2021.

A native of Goshen, Ind., Kehr attended Goshen College where he played four seasons on their baseball team. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in physical education and family life education, he furthered his studies and earned his master’s degree in physical education and coaching from Emporia State (Kan.) University.

From 1987 to 1993 Kehr served as the head women’s soccer coach while assisting with track and volleyball at Lanier High School in San Antonio, Texas.  During his tenure, he led his soccer team to their first district and bi-district championships and was selected to coach the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) south all-star team.

He then went on to start the women’s soccer program at Bethany Christian High School in his hometown of Goshen. He coached for 10 years at Bethany compiling a 109-76-16 record while winning four sectional championships and one regional championship and holding the athletic director position during his last four years there. In 2006, Kehr was named the coach of the East All Star team and was also named Outstanding Northern Indiana Athletic Director.

In 2010, Kehr took over as the head women’s coach at Hesston College and held that position for 11 years. Kehr led his squad to a 16-5 record in 2015, the winningest season in program history, while finishing second in the west Jayhawk conference. In fall 2020, Kehr was named interim athletic director at Hesston for a semester before being appointed to the position full-time at the beginning of the 2021 spring semester.

Bryan resides in North Newton with his wife, Anita. The pair have three children - Hannah, Maya and Elias and six grandchildren.
