Volleyball Splits in MCC Tri

The Larks faced of with Avila University JV and Metropolitan Community College-Longview this past Friday, October 11 and they split their matches.  After the split, it brought their overall record to (10-14, 0-6) on the season.


Avila JV vs. Hesston Notes

The Larks defeated the Eagles by a score of 3-2 (25-15, 25-22, 17-25, 22-25, 17-15) in a thrilling five set match!  This win extended the Larks seven game winning streak against KCAC opponents.  Hesston was able to take the first two sets fairly easily, but Avila battled back in the next two sets and sent the match into a fifth set.  The final set was back and forth, but the Larks were able to put a run together in the end and prevail for the victory!

Hesston vs. MCC-Longview Notes

The Larks were unable to defeat MCC-Longview as they fell in a straight sweep 3-0 (19-25, 16-25, 24-26).  This was the Larks second loss of the season against MCC-Longview, as they lost 3-0 on August 31.  Hesston was unable to carry over their strong play from the Avila match, as MCC-Longview took care of the Larks fairly easily in the straight sweep.
