The Larks are ready for their battle against Barton County Community College on Saturday, October 5 at 4:30 pm.  Barton is currently ranked 6th in the nation, and is undefeated on the season with a (9-0-1, 6-0) record.  


Barton County Notes

The Cougars of Barton County Community College are located in Great Bend, Kansas are currently one of the top teams in the nation, and are one of six undefeated teams remaining in the nation.  They defeated the Larks in their last match-up on September 11 by a final score of 5-0.  The Cougars have scored 26 goals this season while allowing 3 goals, they haven't allowed a goal since August 28.  Barton is coached by Jordan Rideout, who is in his first season as head coach for the Cougars.

The Larks are currently (5-7, 1-5) on the season, and are hoping to rebound after a loss the last time out.  Barton provides a great opportunity to pull of a huge upset of a nationally ranked opponent.  If the Larks are able to pull off the upset it will be the first victory for them over the Cougars in 9 years.  Hesston has scored 19 goals this season while allowing 48 goals.  They are coached by Matt Gerlach who is in his 4th season as head coach.
