Hesston, KS -Â
The Larks hosted the Khaos Apparel & Rodeway Inn & Suites Classis this past weekend, where they faced off with Louisiana Christian School and Nationwide Prep Academy. Â
Hesston vs. LCS
Hesston faced off with LCS on Friday night, where they fell by a score of 72-70. This loss brought the Larks overall record to 2-2 on the season with one game left to play in the tournament. The beginning of the game was a close one as both teams traded buckets, and the Larks began to pull away as they led by 19 with 8:03 left in the half, but LCS fought back and made it 40-35 at the end of the half.Â
Langston Flowers (Fr. Dallas, Texas) led the way for the Larks in the first half with 14 points. The second half continued just like the first half as both teams continued to trade buckets, but within the final five minutes the Larks went cold and LCS took advantage. With just 10 seconds left in the game LCS and Hesston were tied at 70, LCS had the ball and drove down court, where they would bank a shot off the glass at the buzzer to win the game for LCS 72-70. Flowers went 13-17 from the line for the Larks and he ended with 19 points.Â
Jacob Baker (So. Wichita, KS) led the way for the Larks as he ended with 21 points. Â

Hesston vs. Nationwide Prep
The Larks looked to bounce back on Saturday after suffering a heartbreaking loss the night before, as they faced off with Nationwide Prep. They would go on to lose by a score of 81-66, bringing their overall record to 2-3 on the season. Nationwide was on fire in the first half as they controlled the lead for majority of the half, but Hesston fought back many times as they went ahead 29-26 with 5:43 after
Jacob Baker (So. Wichita, KS) hit a three. Nationwide would take the lead back before the end of the half as they led 41-38. The Larks struggled shooting the ball in the second half as they only score 28 points, as it seemed the ball just couldn't go in the basket.Â
Langston Flowers (Fr. Dallas, Texas) led the way for the Larks in scoring as he had 21 points on (7-13) shooting.Â
Derrick Magiya (So. Plano, Texas) had a great game as he almost had a double-double, with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Â
