The Larks faced off with two top ranked opponents last week.  Hesston fought hard but they where unable to pull of either upset in either match.  These two losses bring the Larks overall record to (6-10, 0-3) on the campaign.  They will be back in action at home on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. versus Allen CC.

JCCC vs. Hesston Notes

The Larks faced off with the Johnson County Community College Cavaliers last Wednesday in Overland Park, Ks.  Where the Larks fell in straight sets 3-0 by the scores: (21-25, 19-25, 17-25).  Hesston put up a tough fight in each set, but they were unable to prevail in the end.  Tannah Tiley, MacKenzie Moredcai, and Maddy Ward led the way for the Larks with 7 kills each.

Hesston vs. FSCC Notes

Hesston faced off with the Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds last Friday night at home, where they fell 3-1 by the scores: (25-17, 11-25, 9-25, 15-25).  The Larks came out of the gates on fire as they easily won the first set.  The Greyhounds took the next three sets.  This was a combination of the Larks cooling off and the Greyhounds finding their rhythm.  Marta Jantzi lead the way with 7 kills for the Larks.

Head coach Casey Cole had this to say, "Friday was a little bit of a roller coaster, but I also saw some of the best ball we have played to date!  We will keep working to make our play more consistent and hopefully peak at the right time".
