Box Score Hesston, KS -

The Larks secured their first KJCCC win of the season against Pratt CC tonight.  This brings their overall record to (5-5, 1-4) on the season.  Hesston got on the board first when Baldo Moreno drove past the defender for an easy goal to put the Larks up 1-0 in the 36th minute.  Both teams showed strong signs of defense, especially on the Hesston side as Tanner Unruh made many miraculous saves.  The Beavers would add their first goal of the match when they scored on a penalty kick in the 67th minute.  Neither team was able to score during the rest of the half, as the teams headed to overtime at a 1-1 tie.  The teams faced off in a golden goal overtime, meaning the first team to score during the two 10 minute periods wins the game.  Baldo Moreno wasted no time as he started a fast break downfield and scored the game winning goal for the Larks, as they won 2-1!  The Larks will be back in action on Saturday, September 26 ay 4 pm as they head to Concordia, KS to face Cloud County Community College.
