Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The Larks traveled to Highland, KS this past weekend to compete in the Highland CC Tournament.  The Larks dominated the weekend by going 3-1, with wins over Southwestern CC, Ellsworth CC, and Ottawa University JV.

Metropolitan Community College-Longview
The Larks lost their first matchup of the tournament by the scores of: (22-25, 19-25, 11-25).  The Larks committed 13 errors in the match, which allowed Metropolitan CC to take advantage of the match.  This match moved the Larks record to 1-4 on the season.

Southwestern Community College
The Larks stepped up their game in the second match of the day by sweeping Southwestern CC in straight sets: (25-18, 25-23, 25-18).  The Larks brushed off the defeat in their first matchup, and brought high energy into the first set.  That energy carried over in the next two sets, where the Larks were able to propel to the match sweep.  This match made the Larks record 2-4 on the season.

Ellsworth Community College
The Larks carried over their energy and success from their second matchup, and were able two pull off back-to-back straight match sweeps: (25-11, 25-15, 25-10).  The Larks continued to mesh well together on the court, which lead to their success.  This win brought the Larks season recorded to 3-4.

Ottawa University JV
The Larks final matchup of the tournament ended just like the second and third matches, resulting in a dominating win over Ottawa JV: (25-12, 25-18, 17-25, 25-23).  The Larks continued to roll over their competition by winning the first two sets easily.  Ottawa was able to stop the Larks from completing another sweep in set three, but the Larks took the momentum back in a exciting final set.  The win brought the Larks win streak to three games, and made their season record 4-4.

Head Coach Casey Cole had very good things to say about the Larks after the weekend, "We had a rough first game of the weekend versus Metropolitan, but I'm proud of how our girls regrouped, and came together as a team to end this tournament 3-1."

The Larks home opener will be this Wednesday, September 4th at 6:30 pm.  They will take on the Bethel College Threshers JV.
