The Larks had two big games this week as they hosted #3 Highland CC and Oklahoma Wesleyan JV, were they would split by losing to Highland and winning versus OKWU. Hesston's record now sits at (5-17, 1-2) on the season.

Hesston attempted to pull of an upset over the #3 team in the nation on Wednesday night as they faced off with Highland CC, they would ultimately fall 91-46. Hesston trailed the Scotties at the end of the first quarter 20-11, but the second quarter the Scotties took over and only allowed the Larks to score 6 points. Turnovers hurt the Larks as they committed 34, which allowed Highland to score 41 points off of turnovers.Â
Destiny Kessay (Fr. McNary, Ariz.) led the Larks in scoring with 19 points on 6-11 shooting from the field. Â

The Larks were able to complete the series sweep over OKWU as they defeated the Eagles in a thrilling game 57-55. The Larks had two players in double figures for scoring as
Destiny Kessay scored 15 points.Â
Sydney Bontrager (Fr. Milford, Neb.) had another double-double as she scored 18 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, which is a career high. Sydney was also able to record 5 huge blocks which many came in crucial parts of the game!
