Hesston, KS -

The Larks will look to end their current three game losing streak tonight as they host Bethel College JV in a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 PM at Bess Mullet Field.  Hesston is currently 5-7 on the season as they look to get back to .500 overall tonight.  


Bethel College Notes

The Threshers of Bethel College are located just down the road in North Newton, Kansas, they were defeated by the Larks last season in both of their games (6-1, 5-3).  Bethel College JV is coached by Anthony Gonzalez who is in his 2nd season as the JV head coach.


Hesston Notes

The Larks will finish up their six game homestand tonight with a doubleheader against the Threshers before they hit the road for their four game series this weekend with North Central Texas College.  Hesston holds a team batting average of .294, an on-base percentage of .386, and are averaging 5.75 runs per game.  They are coached by Christie Bell who is in her 1st season as head coach.

Chelsea Smith (So. Tacoma, Wash.): Chelsea leads the Larks in ERA, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts this season.  She also has four complete games in four games started this season.  Chelsea holds a 3.30 ERA which is good for 5th in the conference, she also leads the conference in strikeouts with 88!  

Jessie Miranda (So. Turlock, Calif.): Jessie leads the Larks in hits, batting average, and stolen bases this season.  She has stolen 11 bases on 14 attempts, which is good for 5th in the conference.  Jessie is on pace to exceed her stolen base amount from last season which was 48 stolen bases.
