Women's Basketball Looks to Build Off Win

The Larks will look to build off their recent win over Sterling College JV by a score of 46-38.  Hesston currently sits at 1-1 on the season and will look to go to 2-1 as they face off with Friends University JV (1-0) tonight at 5:00 PM inside Yost Center.  


ABOUT THE LARKS

Hesston is led in scoring by Destiny Kessay (So. McNary, Ari.) who is averaging 13.0 PPG, Sydney Bontrager (So. Milford, Neb.) leads the Larks in rebounds per game with 16.0.  Sydney is currently ranked #1 in the NJCAA in rebounds per game and minutes per game (40.0).  Hesston is currently averaging 41.0 PPG and is shooting 33.3% from the field. 


ABOUT THE FALCONS

The Falcons are currently 1-0 on the season as they recently defeated Bethel College JV by a score of 74-59.  This will be their first of two match-ups versus the Larks this season.  Friends is coached by Bela Raimondi and Holly Smith who are both in their first seasons with Friends University.  


MATCHUP HISTORY

The Larks are 0-2 all-time versus Friends JV dating back to 2013.  Their most recent match-up came in 2019, where the Falcons defeated the Larks 88-58.  Both games have been played in Yost Center.
