Larks Host Bethel JV

The Larks will look to extend their win streak to three games this afternoon as they host Bethel College JV inside Yost Center.  This will be the Larks first game since defeating Sterling JV back on February 4.  


PREVIOUS GAME

Hesston faced off with Sterling JV on the road on February 4 where they would go on to defeat the Warriors 49-47. The Larks were led in scoring by Destiny Kessay as she finished with 15 points and also had 7 rebounds.  Sydney Bontrager recorded a game high 11 rebounds on the night, she also scored 8 points. 


ABOUT THE LARKS 

Hesston is currently 3-3 on the season and have won their past two games.  They have not been able to play since February 4 due to the inclement weather over the past two weeks.  The Larks are led in scoring on the season by Destiny Kessay as she is averaging 11.5 PPG, she is also won the KJCCC Player of the Week in their last week of games played.  Hesston is averaging 43.3 PPG, 34.8 RPG, and 7.5 APG this season as a team.  


ABOUT THE THRESHERS

The Threshers are currently 4-13 on the season as they are finishing up their JV season.  They are coming into this game with the Larks on a ten game losing streak, and haven't won since January 20.  They are coached by Josh Burt who is in his third season as head coach of the JV team.  


MATCHUP HISTORY

The Larks currently own this series as they have a 7-3 overall record versus the Threshers dating back to 2013.  They defeated Bethel once already this season as Kirah Stepps made a game winning layup to push the Larks past the Threshers 40-38.  Hesston is currently on a three game winning streak versus Bethel JV.
