Hesston, KS -


The Larks traveled to Iola, Kansas on Friday afternoon and were able to split the DH series with Allen CC.  The Larks are now 2-2 on the season, and will look to improve their record this week when they face off with Bethany College JV on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM at Oswald Field.  

In game one, the Larks would go to fall to the Red Devils 6-3, this loss brought their record to 1-2 on the season.  Shunsuke Otonashi went 2-4 with 2 RBI's and a stolen base.  Jack Brinkley drove in the other Larks run on a single, he would end up going 1-4 with an RBI.  Eli Prine would go 2-3 in game 1 and would also score 2 runs.  Edgar Vera got the start on the mound for Hesston, he went 5 innings and gave up 3 hits while allowing 1 earned run.  


In game two, the Larks bats came alive as they defeated Allen by a score of 8-7, this win brought the Larks record to 2-2 on the season.  Justin Smith went 1-3 with a huge 2-run home run and he would also draw one walk.  Dawson Winter would get revenge on his former school as he went 2-3 and hit a huge solo home run!  Kauy Kuhn showed off his wheels as he hit a triple, and would end up going 1-2 with 1 RBI in the game.


The Larks will look to add two more wins on Tuesday afternoon, we will provide updates on the status of the game tomorrow.
