The Larks hosted the Tigers of Central Christian College yesterday afternoon inside Yost Center where they would dominate as they defeated the Tigers 81-61. Â This was the Larks largest point margin victory this season. Â
Hesston and Central Christian played much of the first half by trading baskets as each team would never take much of a big lead. Â With 9:27 left in the first half the Larks would extend their lead to 6 points (22-16) as
Langston Flowers (So. Dallas, Texas) sank two free throws. Â Hesston would keep their foot on the gas pedal as they finished the first half leading by 19 points by a score of 42-23. Â With 16:25 left in the game the Larks saw their lead grow to 25 points as they led 54-29 after a
Jerome Jackson (So. Kansas City, Mo.) layup. Â The Larks would go up by 28 points, their biggest lead of the season (65-37) after
Elijah Smith (Rs. Fr. Kansas City, Mo.) drained a deep three pointer. Â The Tigers would try to make a dent in the Larks lead, but were unsuccessful as the Larks would go on to take the game 81-61. Â
This win moves the Larks overall record to 3-2 on the season and pushes their win streak to 2 in a row. Â They will look to extend that streak tomorrow night as they take on Sterling College JV inside Yost Center beginning at 7:00 PM. Â
Langston Flowers led the Larks in points as he finished with 19 points in just 20 minutes played off the bench. Â
Elijah Smith had another great game as he finished with 16 points, 9 boards, and 5 assists. Â
Ethan Hildebrand (Fr. Stafford, Kan.) recorded another double-double as he had 16 points and 12 boards. Â
