The Larks will travel to Cloud County CC this afternoon for a DH with the Thunderbirds to open KJCCC play.  They will begin their first game at 1:00 PM and the second game will follow after the conclusion of the first game.  Hesston currently sits at 8-4 on the season and will look to open conference play with a pair of wins.  


PREVIOUS GAME 

The Larks swept their last series on March 16 against Central Christian JV as they won game one 17-3 and game two 15-7.  Alexis Silvey had a big performance in game one as she went 3-4 and drove in 6 runs.  Jessie Miranda would go on to steal 6 bases between both games and go 7-8 at the dish.  


ABOUT THE LARKS 

The Larks have started their season off on a hot streak as they bring a 8-4 record into conference play.  Jessie Miranda currently sits at #1 in the nation for stolen bases as she is 22-22 on stolen base attempts, she also holds a .541 batting which is highest on the team.  Teri Stanton has been making a huge impact at the plate and in the circle as she holds a .500 batting average and 4.88 earned run average.  


ABOUT THE T-BIRDS

The T-Birds are currently 5-1 on the season as they also begin conference play today.  They are coached by Aaron Acree who is in his 19th season as head coach of Cloud County.  


MATCHUP HISTORY

The two teams have faced off 4 times dating back to 2018, and the series record sits at 2-2.  The Larks have won the previous two games against the T-Birds, the two teams didn't play each other last season due to the season being canceled due to COVID.
