The Larks almost pulled off a huge upset versus #3 Johnson County CC, but ultimately fell 66-57 inside of Yost Center on Saturday afternoon. This loss brings the Larks record to (6-7, 0-2) on the season. They will look for their first conference victory on Wednesday night inside Yost Center as they face off with Fort Scott CC.
Both teams battled it out in the first half, as the Larks took the one point lead into the break as they led 24-23. The battling continued in the second half as both teams traded baskets, the Larks trailed 56-64 with 4:35 left in the game after
Langston Flowers knocked down a clutch three pointer. Johnson would end up knocking down free throws at the end of the game to pull away from the Larks as Hesston fell 66-57.
Langston Flowers finished with a season high 27 points on 8-17 shooting from the field, while knocking down all 7 of his free throws.
Elijah Smith finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds on the game as he shot 4-9 from the field and 2-3 from three point range.
