The Larks almost pulled off a huge upset versus #3 Johnson County CC, but ultimately fell 66-57 inside of Yost Center on Saturday afternoon. Â This loss brings the Larks record to (6-7, 0-2) on the season. Â They will look for their first conference victory on Wednesday night inside Yost Center as they face off with Fort Scott CC. Â
Both teams battled it out in the first half, as the Larks took the one point lead into the break as they led 24-23. Â The battling continued in the second half as both teams traded baskets, the Larks trailed 56-64 with 4:35 left in the game after
Langston Flowers knocked down a clutch three pointer. Â Johnson would end up knocking down free throws at the end of the game to pull away from the Larks as Hesston fell 66-57. Â
Langston Flowers finished with a season high 27 points on 8-17 shooting from the field, while knocking down all 7 of his free throws. Â
Elijah Smith finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds on the game as he shot 4-9 from the field and 2-3 from three point range. Â
