The Larks played in the first game of the season as they faced off with Southeast CC, where they would end up falling by a score of 2-1. This loss brings the Larks overall record to 0-1 on the season in their first game of the season.
Hesston played a great first half as they held Southeast CC scoreless, but were unable to get any of their shots to fall in the net. In the second half, the Larks scored their first goal of the season as
Kara Longenecker scored a goal that was assisted by
Den Morita, as they took the 1-0 lead. The Larks were unable to get anything going after this goal as they allowed two goals and would go on to lose the game 2-1.
Bethany Masters got the start in the net, and would save five shots while allowing two goals.
The Larks will play their first home game on Thursday, April 15 as they face off with Highland CC as they search for their first win of the season.
