The Larks traveled to Nebraska to begin their conference play with Central Community College - Columbus, and were able to come away with a 1-0 win over the Raiders. Â Hesston now has an overall record of (2-1, 1-0) on the season and will play their next match on Saturday afternoon against Southeast CC. Â
The Larks and Raiders both went back and forth throughout the first half as neither team was able to get a goal, until the 43rd minute mark when
Isaac Troyer scored his first goal of the season as it was assisted by
Lusanda Nyathi. Â
Aidan McGonagle put up his first shutout in his Larks career as he allowed zero goals and made eight saves in the game.  Aidan was selected as the KJCCC Goal Keeper of the Week and the NJCAA Goal Keeper of the Week prior to the beginning of the game! Â
Baldo Moreno also won the KJCCC Player of the Week award for his performance last week. Â
Hesston will look to continue their hot start as they travel to Beatrice, Nebraska for their second conference match of the season as they play against Southeast CC. Â We will provide updates on our social media pages, when they are given to us. Â
