Baseball Sets Runs in One Inning Record

Hesston, KS -


The Larks DOMINATED Bethany JV on Thursday evening as they swept the series winning game one 26-4 and game two 12-2.  The Larks now hold a season record of 29-20 with just one game left to play in the regular season.  


GAME 1

The Larks scored a team record 21 runs in the first inning, and were able to score 17 of those runs with zero outs in the inning.  Eli Prine finished with 4 RBI in the first inning and also had two hits in three at bats in the inning.  Jack Brinkley and Halen David both finished with 3 RBI in the inning as they both had three at bats.  In the bottom of the second inning, Toryn Henshaw singled home a run to extend the Larks lead to 23-1.  Kainoa Mane got the start on the mound for the Larks as he went two innings while allowing one run on two hits.  Benjamin De La Rosa completed his first appearance on the mound this season as he went two innings while striking out two hitters.  The Larks would take the game by a final score of 26-4.  


GAME 2

Hesston would continue their dominance in game two as they finished off the Swedes in another run rule win taking the game 12-2.  The Larks added four home runs to their season home run record in this game as they hit all four of them in the bottom of the second inning.  Jordan Droze drove in a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Larks a walk-off run rule victory.  Edgar Vera would get the start for the Larks on the mound as he went four innings while allowing just one run and securing his fifth win of the season.
