The men's soccer team will look to kick the season off with a huge win as they will face off with Metropolitan CC on Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 PM at Sieber Field. The Larks will be heading to Tabor College this evening for a scrimmage with Tabor College, this game is set to begin at 7:30 PM.
Hesston was selected in the KJCCC preseason poll to finish third in division two. Last season, the Larks finished with a (5-7, 3-5) record and were eliminated in the first round of the KJCCC playoffs by Allen CC. They will play their first four games of the season at home, followed up by two road games before they begin conference play on September 15 versus Central CC-Columbus. The Larks are brining back 13 players from last seasons roster, including four players who received All-Conference honors and those players are:
Lusanda Nyathi (Fr. Midrand, South Africa),
Mohammed Bushra (Fr. Milwaukee, Wis.),
Isaac Troyer (Fr. Millersburg, OH), and
Aidan McGonagle (Fr. Monument, Colo.). They will be brining in 9 new players to this years roster, and these three players will look to make key contributions to this years team:
Armando Ramirez,
Abwe Abandelwa, and
Adrian Muhabuki. This years roster will feature many good midfielders, as the Larks will search for another playoff push.
