Volleyball hosted a tri-match last night with FSCC and Friends JV as they looked to build off their win from the night before. Their first match was against FSCC, which was their second conference match of the season as they came into the match with a (1-9, 0-1) record.
Hesston vs.FSCC
The Larks came out on fire in set one of this match as they took the set by a score of 25-23 to go up 1-0 in the match as they continued their dominance from the night before. In set two, both teams went back and forth, but FSCC was able to take the set from the Larks (25-22) as they tied it up at 1-1. The Hounds then went on and took the next two sets from the Larks as they won (25-12 and 25-14) as they took the match 3-1.
Alyssa Espinoza finished with a career high in kills with 12 and also recorded a double-double as she had 10 digs.
Alexis Zehr had a great game as she finished with 26 assists, and
Taylor Thompson finished with a team high in digs with 23.
Hesston vs. Friends JV
In the Larks second match of the day they faced off with Friends JV as they looked to get back on track. They came out and started the game out on fire as they led 6-1 as they fed off the crowds energy. Friends would end up coming back and taking set one by a score of 25-20. The Larks were unable to get back on track in this match as they lost the next two sets as they fell 3-0 in the match.
Taylor Thompson and
Alyssa Espinoza finished with a team high 7 kills in this match.
Alexis Zehr had another game of 20+ assists as she finished with 21 assists.
The Larks will be back in action on Friday evening as they host (RV) Butler inside Yost Center.
