Chanute, KS - 2022 started with a bang as the Larks traveled to Chanute, Kan. and took down the preseason #2 ranked KJCCC DII Neosho County Community College Panthers. The Larks were led by a 25 point, 6 rebound, and 3 assist performance from freshman David Duncan, freshman Isaiah Jones chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists. The win did not come without a share of excitement. The Larks' first game of conference play featured 12 lead changes between the two teams. Halftime had the Panthers looking at a 30-28 lead and were up by 10 with 9:11 left in the game. The script flipped though as the Larks outscored Neosho 42-34 in the second half, including going 7-of-14 from the three point line.

The Larks were outstanding from the 3-point line in the second half, finishing 7-of-14 after only going 6-of-20 in the first half.
