Hesston, KS - The Hesston Larks earned their first Jayhawk Conference win of the season on Saturday night. The Larks were led by a 18 point, 8 rebound, and 2 block performance from sophomore Sydney Bontrager. Freshman Loribeth Miller chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Despite combining to shoot 33 percent from the field and only going 4-of-17 from the three point line as a team, the Larks ended the afternoon with three players in double digit scoring. This was a wonderful "team" win and it halted a three game losing streak.Ā Ā

The Larks offense was on fire in the fourth quarter with 21 points in 10 minutes. Additionally, Hesston shot 11-of-14 (78%) from the free throw line in the fourth to seal the game.Ā
