Larks Show Depth In Lineup With Win Over Indians

Hesston, KS -  Hesston Women were able to grind out a tough 70-56 victory over Haskell Indian Nations JV on Thursday evening. The big advantage for the Larks was on the glass, out rebounding the Indians 61-39 and led by Freshman Ashlyn Baker who had 16 rebounds of her own. Hesston had three double digit scorers in Baker, Two Shields, and Espinoza while combining for seven steals on the night as well. The Larks did struggle from the 3pt line with a 22.6% field goal percentage. With that said they more than made up for it with 13 points off turnovers and 44 bench points. On another note, Haskell Guard Star Her Many Horses and former Hesston Larks athlete had 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists on the night. This was the women's third win of the season at home.

The Larks finished the game with a 22 point 4th quarter which ties their largest quarter of the season.
