Hesston, KS - The Hesston Larks lost their home opener to the Bethel Threshers on Monday afternoon. The Threshers were able to jump out to an early 6-0 lead after two innings. Hesston climbed back into it with six runs on five hits of their own in the 4th inning making it 8-6 heading into the 5th. Bethel then erupted for seven runs in the 5th to cushion the lead to nine. This ended up being too much for the Larks to overcome and the game ended after 5 innings due to run rule.

The Threshers were able to pull out a seven run 5th on only two hits due to three hit by pitches and 2 walks.
