Game 1: Ā Coffeyville started the day red hot with the bats, scoring eight runs in the first inning off of freshman pitcher Teri Stanton. The Larks battled back with big days from the top of the lineup as Candace Durney, Madison Rosales, and Reese Peterson combined for five hits, six runs, and seven runs batted in. Natalie Fischer came in relief for Hesston and threw 6Ā innings only giving up four hits and two runs in that span. This performance on top of the extreme patience at the plate the Larks showed with 13 walks in the game was the right recipe to squeak out the win 12 - 10.Ā
Ā
Game 2: A season high 20 hits in the second game of the double header is the storyline for the Larks. The Larks' speed on the baseĀ paths was in full showcase.??Ā They will have another chance to showcase this on Saturday 1 and 3pm at Bess Mullet Field vs. Cloud County.
Ā
