The Hesston Larks on Tuesday afternoon gave their best comeback effort of the season but fell short in the ninth inning losing 10-9 to the Enid Jets. The Larks fell behind 10-0 as late as the sixth inning before the bats finally came to life. The rally was led by Dylan Maltby and Cade Irwin who had three runs batted in each on the day. The wind was an extreme factor upwards of 30 mph causing multiple routine fly balls to drop for hits. This certainly enhanced the offensive production for both teams. On the mound Dawson Canaan had the best day for the Larks, pitching three innings striking out 3 and only giving up one hit in relief. This allowed Hesston to come back and stifle any more production from the Jet's lineup. This loss dropped Hesston's record to 9-21 on the season and they will be back in action this weekend Saturday and Sunday vs. North Central Missouri College in Hesston, KS
