Hesston, Kan. - The Larks were able to overcome a tough shooting day to defeat the Neosho Panthers 73-64. This gives Hesston a 1-0 record in the Jayhawk Conference. Sophomore David Duncan led all scorers with 27 points and defenders with nine steals. The Larks shot a combined 35.7 percent including 28.6 percent from the 3-point line. The leading scorer for Neosho was Alexander Norris with 16 points. This was the second ever win for Hesston over the Panthers, and they will meet again in Chanute, Kan. on Feb. 8.
