Hesston, Kan -  The Larks won their first set on Wednesday evening 25-18 over the Pirates, but then lost the next three to lose by a score of 3-1. Hesston was led by freshman Joanna Ramirez, sophomore Jada Culley and sophomore Catryna Winzer who each had seven kills on offense. Services were improved as the team combined for six aces. On the defensive side sophomore Pariss Lloyd led with 26 digs followed by sophomore Lexis Brewer who had 21. The standout for the pirates was Avelle Allais-Nobles who had 14 kills on offense. After tonight's loss the Larks move to 1-4 all time against Independence
