Sterling, Kan - The Hesston Larks women's basketball team moved their win streak to four in a row with a great win over the Sterling College Warriors Thursday night. Hesston is not 4-3 on the season after starting 0-3. Freshman Norika Welch led the Larks in scoring with a season high 31 points including 3-for-6 from the 3pt line. Other double digit scorers were sophomores Kaley Phillips (13) and Kelsey Koza (10). Hesston had a nice 37-29 lead at halftime and never gave it up in the second half. The offense overcame 21 turnovers as a team and showed their depth with eight different Larks playing at least 17 minutes.Ā

Hesston grew their lead to 14 at the end of third quarter and that gave them the cushion to withstand multiple Warriors runs to end the game, and still wonĀ by seven.Ā
