Hesston, Kan - A 32 point fourth quarter for Hesston was just short of what they needed in a 65-63 loss to Sterling College. Sophomore Kelsey Koza had 16 points, one block, and one steal on the night. The other double digit scorers were freshman Norika Welch with 16 points and five steals and sophomore Kaley Phillips had 12 points and three steals. The offense for Hesston made three 3pt shots and eight free throws. The game ended up being tied with two seconds left as Sterling called a timeout and had the ball. On the end bounds #44 Bailey Young received the pass and laid in the game winning layup. The Larks will use this game as a building block with a team that has only three sophomores, eight were making their collegiate debuts. 

Turning Point

The Larks dug themselves into a big hole going down as much as 17 points due to not scoring more than 12 in any of the first three quarters.
