Hesston, Kan - The Larks got back to their winning ways with a 86-59 victory over the Ottawa Braves. They are now 6-2 on the season. Hesston was able to shoot 41.2 percent from the 3pt line which led to a game high 36 point lead around seven minutes to go. Leading in points for the Larks was sophomore Luke McGinnis who had 14 points and five steals on defense. Sophomore Rob Gambill had 13 points and made three 3pt shots to go along with two blocks. The Lark of the game was sophomore Larry Ruffin who was extremely close to a triple double and had his best game of the season putting in eight points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. The other double digit scorer for Hesston was sophomore Montreal Myles with a season high 11 points off the bench.

With this win, the Larks moved to 13-0 all time versus the Ottawa Braves, including 12-0 at home. Hesston was down two starters in Sophomores Quez Wright, and Kolby Wallace in this matchup. There are six more games before everyone goes on break, and the Larks will look to build on this performance Saturday versus the Bethel College Threshers.Ā
