Hesston, Kan. - The Hesston Larks prevail in a back and forth battle 73-71 over the Labette Cardinals. Freshman Quez Wright led the Larks with 21 points along with freshman Rob Gambill who had 15. Hesston dealt with a few struggles, including shooting a combined 4-for-17 from the 3-point line and turning the ball over 21 times. The Larks did, however, make 15 free-throws and scored 14 points off turnovers. Hesston turned up the defensive heat in the second half slowing the Cardinals offense down to 31 percent shooting. In the final seconds of the game, sophomore David Duncan rebounded a missed free-throw, drove the length of the court and banked the game winner for Hesston as time expired. The win propels the Larks to one game out of sixth place in the KJCCC with two games left in the regular season. Â
