Trenton, MO. - The Larks were able to punch in two wins over the weekend, one by way of the bats, and the other by way of the pitching staff. Sophomore Sam Wiese had a wonderful weekend with seven runs batted in with five hits including a grand slam, that is number three on the season. The Larks capitalized on seven hit batters in the first game. Frenman Shuntaro Uno also hit a home run of his own, number three for him. The Larks continued to get great starting pitching with Sophomore Brody Burnette pitching a complete game striking out six batters while only giving up one earned run. Hesston is down to five more junior college victories needed to clinch a playoff spot in the Oklahoma District tournament. 

Turning Point

The two home runs between Sophomore Sam Wiese and Freshman Shuntaro Uno were critical in creating that breathing room in the scoring to reset the bullpen each game.
