Enid, OK. -   The Hesston Larks move on in the Plains District Tournament after a 5-4 victory over the #18 ranked Murray State College Aggies. Sophomore Trenton Canaan pitched a complete nine inning game striking out three batters and only giving up four runs. The power of the Hesston offense was on show with home runs from freshmen Gavin Moncure and sophomore Cade Irwin each for two runs. The rest of the offense combined for two hits. The Larks were able to overcome two defensive errors and a runner being thrown out stealing. They will now move on to the quarterfinals of the Plains District Tournament.    

Turning Point

The ability of sophomore Trenton Canaan to go the distance on the mound allows for the pitching staff to be well rested moving forward.
