Ottawa, KS - Hesston College Volleyball had a great battle with the Ottawa University Braves on Monday night. The Larks scored a season high 89 points and did win one set in this match (third set) before falling 3-1 in the fourth. The offense stepped it up in this match combining for 30 kills and 24 of those on assists. Sophomores, Jada Culley, Lexis Brewer, and Pariss Lloyd each had three aces. Freshman Se'maiya Farrow led the team with 13 assist, and Pariss led in digs with 25. The Larks defense also showed improvement with six blocks. Leading the way for Hesston in that category were sophomores  Jada Culley and Catryna Winzer with three. Hesston went down the first two sets but did not give up, grinding out a third set victory of 25-21. The Larks will be back in KJCCC play later this week when they host Fort Scott Community College on Wednesday Sept 27th at 6:30pm: Yost Center.
