Larks Defeat Bobcats For First Region Win Of Season

Hesston, KS -  Hesston College women won their first region game of the season (third overall) against the Bobcats of Southeast Nebraska. Sophomore Kira Kumada had all three goals for the Larks in the 30th, 51st and 63rd minutes. Southeast was able to notch one of their own goals in the 80th to finish the game 3-1. Sophomore Yasmeen Estrada-Lopez assisted on two goals for Hesston. Freshman Alice Maynard came in relief for the goalie spot when Freshman Jaycie Walker came out of the game due to apparent injury. Alice ended up with five saves on the night. The Larks will be back in action on Wednesday evening where they will be up against Johnson County CC at 5pm in Overland Park, Kan.
