Iola, Kan -  The Hesston College Men's basketball team won their opening conference game on Saturday versus the Allen Community College Red Devils 80-76. This gets the larks to 12-3 on the season, matching last season's win total with 13 conference games remaining. The leading scorer for the Larks was freshman Jammial Hicks Jr. with 15 points. Sophomore Quez Wright led the team on defense with a season high five steals. Hesston shot a respectable 7-20 from the 3-pt line, good for 35 percent. For the Red Devils their leading scorer was Randy Crosby with a game high 23 points.
