Hesston, Kan -  Sophomore Luke McGinnis had himself a season high 27 points in a 76-66 loss to the Fort Scott Greyhounds on Wednesday evening. He also made a season high 12 free-throws.  Hesston shot 32.1 percent from the field including 18.5 percent from the 3-pt line. The Larks defense did have a strong outing with eight blocks and 13 steals forcing 20 Greyhound turnovers. Other notable performances for Hesston was Sophomore Larry Ruffin who had eight points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Along with Sophomore Quez Wright who had 12 points and nine rebounds. Davion Sargent for Fort Scott led his team with 27 points. The loss puts Hesston 5-18 all time against the Greyhounds. 

The Larks are now 1-1 in the KJCCC DII and will travel to Labette County Community College on Saturday for a 4pm battle in Labette, KS

Hesston dug into a 13 point deficit by halftime, and weren't able to get closer than eight in the second half.
