HESSTON, Kan. – On Wednesday (November 13), the Hesston College women's basketball team faced off against Bethany College JV. Despite a strong effort, Hesston struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling to Bethany with a final score of 91-58.
Bethany took control in the second quarter, scoring 32 points to Hesston's 16, and maintained their lead for the rest of the game. Hesston's offense was led by standout performances from players like Jenna Avery, who contributed 13 points and five assists, and Brittany Cato, who added 18 points, hitting five shots from beyond the arc, and five rebounds. Mariah Hall also put in a solid effort, grabbing seven rebounds. However, turnovers were a challenge for Hesston, as they committed 29 compared to Bethany's 22.
The Larks will be back on the court on Saturday (November 16) as they host Colby Community College at 2 p.m.
