Men's Basketball Suffers Tough Loss in Hutch

HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Hesston College men's basketball team faced a challenging matchup against NJCAA Division I contender 15th-ranked Hutchinson Community College at Hutchinson Sports Arena on Tuesday (November 5). The Larks put forth a determined effort but ultimately fell to the Blue Dragons with a final score of 104-53.

Hutchinson controlled the game through their shooting efficiency and rebounding advantage, finishing with a 50.7% field goal percentage and 58 total rebounds to Hesston's 31. The Blue Dragons capitalized on points in the paint (46 points) and received substantial contributions from their bench, which scored 53 points compared to Hesston's 28.

For Hesston, Henry Snyder led in scoring, connecting on three of his four 3-point attempts and totaling 11 points. Jammial Hicks added 9 points, shooting 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, and Terryon Stebbins contributed 8 points and led the Larks in rebounds with 10 boards. Hesston shot 24.2% from the field overall, including 25% from beyond the arc. Despite facing a formidable opponent, the Larks managed 5 steals and 3 blocks, displaying moments of strong defense and hustle.

The Larks will be back in action on Saturday (November 9) as they travel to Lincoln, Neb. to take on Southeast Community College at 3 p.m.
