Hesston, Kan -  The Hesston Larks fought to the finish in a 69-56 loss to the Labette Cardinals. Freshman Norika Welch led the Larks in scoring with 18 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Kaley Phillips was the other double digit scorer for Hesston with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Larks defense had 10 steals and four blocked shots. Leading for the Cardinals was Natalia Silvia with 21 points and a game high eight steals. With four games to go the Larks and Cardinals are tied for sixth place in the KJCCC. Hesston will travel to the 15-11 Highland Scotties on Saturday for a 1pm Tipoff. 

Turning Point

Hesston battled back in the second half with a 26 point third quarter. Labette put the game away with timely defense and a 24-8 differential in the fourth quarter.
