Hesston, Kan - Midweek against Minnesota Post Grad turned out to be fruitful as the offense took off to a tune of a combined 19 runs in a doubleheader sweep on Wednesday.Ā

Game 1: The Larks put together a strong pitching performance from the combined work of Paxton Rees and Connor Bear, striking out six and only giving up seven hits to win 8-6. Freshman Dominic Garcia led Hesston with two hits and one run.Ā

The Larks stole eight bases as a team, led by Carlos Roman who had two. Pablo Arnaud De La Rosa hit his fifth double of the season for a team high two runs batted in.Ā

Rees earned the first collegiate win of his career improving to (1-1) with one save on the season.Ā

Game 2: The offense for Hesston continued their good day with 11 runs and nine hits to complete the afternoon sweep of MPG 11-7.Ā

The Larks were led by Carsen Kane, Brian Walker, and Pablo Arnaud De La Rosa who each had two runs batted in and a combined three hits.Ā

Aiden McCullough Brian Walker and Pablo Arnaud De La Rosa each hit a double. Hesston stole three bases and hit three sacrifice flies.Ā
