Game 1: The Greyhounds scored six runs in the first three innings and then another eight in the 5th and 6th.Ā Ā

Game 2: Sophomore Jared Fugate started for the Larks giving up five hits and three runs over seven innings.Ā

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first.Ā

Going into the sixth inning the score was still 1-0. Sophomore Pablo Arnaud De La Rosa hit a hard ball to the right side that got through the end field to tie the game at 1-1.Ā

Top of the seventh inning the Greyhounds scored on two doubles to take the lead 3-1.

The game was finished off by the Moberly pitching staff to win 3-1.Ā

Game 3: Hesston got on the board first with back to back doubles from sophomores Jaden Johannesen and Brian Walker to take the 1-0 lead. The Greyhounds in the third inning hit three ground rule doubles and had two hit batsmen to put 11 runs on the board, making it 11-1. They tacked on another run in the 4th to make it 12-1 Moberly.Ā 
Top of the 5th a 2 run homer by number by Joey Marcinkiewicz and an additional base hit padded the Greyhound lead to 15-1.Ā Ā Ā Ā

Game 4: The teams traded first inning runs with the Larks leading 2-1 after one.Ā 
In the bottom of the second inning Yuri Inoue hit an RBI single to extend the Lark lead to 3-1.Ā Ā

Hesston in the bottom of the eighth inning walks it off on an error from the Moberly infield to win 6-5.Ā

Carlos Roman and Braxton Byers each had two runs batted in for Hesston. Zandon Mitchell earned his first collegiate win as a pitcher, throwing 2.2 innings of shutout baseball while striking out four.Ā

The all-time series between these two colleges sits at 7-4 in favor of Hesston College. They will match up again on April 19th and 20th in Moberly, MO for round two of region 6/16 play.Ā
