Hesston, Kan-  The Larks got a break from KJCCC play to face the Southeast Community College Bobcats who they visited at the end of spring break for a double header. Hesston dropped both games of the doubleheader on Saturday by the scores of 7-4 and 8-0. They will pick back up with conference play on Thursday April 4th at the Cowley College Tigers 2/4pm in Arkansas CIty, Kansas. 

Game 1: Hesston battled it out in a close 7-4 loss. Freshman Anna McIntire led the team with two runs batted in and Hesston showed patience at the plate with five walks. Other Larks with hits were Emma Killingsworth, Lauren Payne, and Sydney Jackson. Emma Killingsworth pitched yet another complete game and struckout six batters. 

K. Schmitz pitched a great game for the Bobcats going the distance and striking out five batters to secure the win. 

Game 2: Hesston was held to three hits in a five inning 8-0 loss. Freshman Carly Lee had the lone extra base hit of the game for the Larks. Sydney Jackson pitched all five innings and struck out four batters. The Bobcats had three doubles on nine hits. A. York pitched all five innings for Southeast and faced one batter over the minimum for the day. 

The all-time series between these two opponents sits at 4-0 in favor of the Bobcats.
