PRATT, Kan. – The Hesston College women's soccer team defeated Pratt Community College 4-1 on Saturday (September 14). Rena Itoga and Jeulz Dean each scored twice in the contest to help the Larks win their second consecutive match over Pratt going back to a 2-1 victory over the Beavers in October of last season. This marks the first time the Larks have won back-to-back games over the Beavers since 2017 and the first time ever winning back-to-back contests in Pratt.
Pratt struck first scoring at the end of the first half, but from there it was all Hesston. Dean scored her first goal of the contest in the 53rd minute to tie the match. Itoga put the Larks ahead with a goal on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute before burying her second goal of the contest, fifth of the season, in the 67th minute off of a pass from Dean. Dean wrapped up the scoring for the Larks in the 75th minute scoring off of a cross from Kristyn Oliver.
The Larks outshot the Beavers 10-2 in the contest and put eight of them on target.
